Governor Charlie Baker has accepted our invitation to deliver the keynote address at the College’s 2022 Commencement on Friday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

What you may not know is that our Commencement is the only one at which he will speak this spring.  That he has chosen to thusly honor Quincy College in this, the final year of his two terms as the Commonwealth’s chief executive, demonstrates that he is well aware of the College’s positive impact on our students and our community.

“During their educational journey, this year’s Quincy College graduates have shown remarkable resilience, admirable perseverance and a strength of character that will serve them well in the future,” Gov. Baker said.  “I’m very much looking forward to celebrating their success with them, their families and the College community in the historic City of Quincy.”

We are also honored to have Mayor Thomas Koch participate in the day’s events.  He, too, is delighted that the Governor will be with us.

“We are very proud of the students’ accomplishments especially through such a challenging time and we are honored to have Governor Baker join us in wishing them well as they go forward in the world,” he said.

I know you share my enthusiasm for our 2022 Commencement and all that the day means to our graduates. I’m sure we will all be inspired both by the Governor’s presence and his message.

Sincerely,

Richard DeCristofaro, Ed. D.
President
