Quincy College Foundation
Our Mission
The Quincy College Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation established to receive endowment funds, charitable donations and gifts in support of Quincy College and its mission to provide an affordable and accessible post-secondary education to its students.
The Quincy College Foundation Board is responsible for assuring that donations are used for intended purposes, scholarships are awarded, and granting special funding requests that enhance the overall mission of Quincy College.
The Foundation seeks to build a network of community support and increased public understanding of the college as a vital resource and contributor to the economic vibrancy of the region.
Why Give?
1. Private Support is Essential to Quincy College
Because Quincy College is not a Massachusetts community college, the college does not receive an annual infusion of funding with each state budget cycle. This makes it 100% reliant on tuition and fees to fund its operational and capital budget, therefore placing greater reliance on tuition revenues and private philanthropy to help make quality educational opportunities available for all.
2. Maximize Your Impact
Your charitable giving goes further at Quincy College. For example, a $1,000 donation is not enough to fund one course at most four-year universities. At Quincy College, the same amount covers a three-credit class plus books.
3. Make High-Quality Higher Education Accessible for All
Quincy College’s non-traditional students, including parents, those who work full time, or those needing to reskill after a change in employment, need financial support to stay on track. By supporting a student scholarship, you can make the difference between a student dropping out and staying on a successful path to graduation.
4. Keep Local Talent for Local Jobs
As the region faces an urgent need for educated workers, college degrees, workforce certificates, industry certifications, and other high-quality credentials are in high demand. Quincy College graduates help fuel the region’s economic engine and keep essential workers in the community while lighting a path to financial stability and career advancement for students. Quincy College has relationships with key regional employers in fields like biotechnology/biomanufacturing and health care. Students benefit from an employment pipeline that the college has worked hard to establish by identifying workforce needs and tailoring programs in response.
5. Invest in the South Shore
A gift to the Quincy College Foundation is an investment in the region and its future. It contributes to thriving communities, far beyond the pivotal role it plays in providing a college education. By offering free summer programming for local high school students, ESOL classes for the area’s immigrant populations, professional development programs for educators and opening its campus to the public through its “Scholarly Conversations” series for the public, donating to Quincy College is a simple way to directly support your own community.
