AAV Biomanufacturing for Cell and Gene TherapyNC

Non-Credit Certificate

What is Cell & Gene therapy?

This is a new and promising area of medicine with full potential to treat and cure inherited illnesses such as motor neuron disease and rare disorders for which traditional medicine provides no treatment. Cell Therapy is a process by which some whole cells are transferred to patients in order to treat inherited or acquired diseases. Gene therapy is defined as a process of introducing a gene into living cells to repair, mute, or restore a missing function.
