Athletics Mission Statement

The mission of the Quincy College Athletic program is to provide our student athletes with the opportunity to enhance their overall educational experience through participation in intercollegiate or intramural athletics. It is our belief that student athletes gain worthwhile experience in teamwork and leadership, while also developing character and integrity.

The Athletic Department’s goal is that each student athlete will be dedicated to success both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Finally, student athletes will act morally and socially responsible in their role as a representative of the Quincy College community.

Coaches

Arom Murrell, Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Coach Morrell comes to Quincy College Granite with a wealth of coaching experience that spans the country. Coach Murrell was recently the head coach of Women’s Basketball at Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts where he spent 2 seasons. Previous coaching experience includes the University of Wisconsin-Washington County as the Head Coach of Men’s Basketball, Head Coach Women’s Basketball at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He helped lead the men’s team to an NJCAA Region 4 tournament championship and an appearance in that seasons NJCAA Division 3 national tournament in New York.

Coach Murrell attended Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he studied business. He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy. A  native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Coach Murrell lives in Boston and is the proud father of 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
