About the Speaker
Kate Barber graduated from Johns Hopkins with degrees in BioMedical and Electrical Engineering and then went to Texas to get a Masters in BioMedical Engineering at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Upon graduation she became the 5th employee at a very small company called IonOptix designing equipment used to study heart cells and blood vessels. She is still with that company almost 20 years later and is now the Production and Fulfillment Manager.
