Quincy College with campuses in Quincy and Plymouth and Comprehensive Medical Teaching Institute, LLC of Weymouth are pleased to announce a collaborative partnership to offer for-credit, certificate programs in Paramedic Education and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Quincy College’s Quincy Campus. The EMT Program will start September 10, 2019. The Paramedic Education Program will start January 2020.

The biggest differences between paramedics and EMTs are the training and the scope of practice (what they are allowed to do). Basic EMTs usually receive 120-150 hours of training, while paramedics get anywhere from 1,200 hours to 1,800 hours of training.
