Quincy College Will Host Substance Abuse Symposium

QUINCY – The Quincy College Addiction Awareness Club is hosting a substance abuse symposium and panel discussion at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22 at Quincy College in the lower level conference room, 1250 Hancock Street in Quincy.
The panel of speakers will touch upon aspects of drug and alcohol abuse and will include Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch; Rev. James Hawker, Board of Governors at Quincy College; Assistant District Attorney Laura Martin of Quincy Drug Court; Kevin Rosario, regional outreach representative for Gosnold on the Cape; John Fortes III the southeast and metro west regional coordinator for the Mass. Organization for Addiction Recovery; Quincy College student Kristen McLaughlin, and Mary Jane Knox, Quincy College financial aid associate.
Marisa Carson, club president, will moderate the panel.
