Administrative Medical Office Assistant Program Overview  

Lead the way to help clinics run at peak productivity. With an Administrative Medical Office Assistant certification from Quincy College, you’ll play a vital role in keeping healthcare offices organized and efficient, day in and day out.  

In this 6-week training program, students will develop the knowledge and clerical skills required for entry-level employment as an administrative assistant, specifically within healthcare-focused settings, like hospitals, medical clinics, and private practices. Through hands-on training with expert faculty, students will learn key administrative operations, such as appointment scheduling, records management, basic accounting, business correspondence, patient insurance, and standard medical billing practices.

    This 6-week hybrid certificate program is designed to provide students with knowledge and clerical skills required for entry-level administrative assistant employment opportunities in a variety of health care settings, including medical clinics, physician practices, hospital-based practices, or in health-related businesses. This course includes hands-on skills in administrative procedures and computer usage specific to a medical facility or business that include, setting appointments, managing records, basic accounting practices, writing business letters and other types of correspondence, patient insurance and standard medical billing practices.
