Overview

Coach Robertson along with Co-Head Coach Matt Gibbons have been coaching Quincy College Hockey since the rebirth of Quincy College Hockey in 2022-23. Quincy College is a member of the New England Independent Hockey Conference. Quincy College has appeared in every conference playoff since starting in 2022. This past season Quincy College won the NEIHC division 3 playoffs for the first time. In 2024 and 2026 Quincy College was invited to play in the AAU National Championships in Philadelphia and Jacksonville. In 2024 QC made it to the semifinals. QC biggest regular season win was this past season when QC beat the eventual AAU Division 2 National Champions Anna Maria in a thrilling game at Quincy Youth Arena. Coach Robertson has been coaching local junior teams since 1999.

Ice Hockey Coaches

Behind the Bench: Coach Kyle Robertson, with two decades of experience leading several regional Junior teams and whose coaching has helped more than 100 players achieve their goal of playing in NCAA programs. Robertson will be assisted by long-time North Quincy High School varsity coach Matt Gibbons. Both have outstanding player-evaluation and player-development skills as well as histories of on-ice success.

Coach Robertson helped lead the hockey team to a postseason tournament berth in 2022-23, the team’s inaugural year. He began his junior hockey coaching career in 1999 and in the years since has been behind the bench as either a head coach or assistant for a number of regional teams.  More than 100 of his players have advanced to play in NCAA hockey programs.

The long-time successful head coach of the North Quincy High School varsity, Coach Gibbons has won multiple Patriot League titles and is a former MIAA Coach of the Year. He also serves as a director of the Quincy Youth Hockey program.
