Meet the Coach

Jason Tassinari brings extensive head coaching and recruiting experience to the Quincy College Men’s Soccer Program. His unparalleled record of character and success brings instant credibility to a program entering its first season. He’s gone from being a rising star in the coaching world in the mid 1990’s to a highly respected and successful coach, clinician, and mentor today.

Tassinari’s success is not limited to just the field. His player’s graduation and retention rates have consistently been impeccable everywhere he’s coached.

His coaching journey has seen him successfully transition from notable men’s and women’s college soccer programs, to several high school, premier, club and ODP programs in New England. During his career he’s been named Coach of the Year 3 times at the college level and 4 times at the high school level.

Tassinari began his soccer coaching career in 1991 with the Plymouth and Carver Youth Soccer programs, as well as the Plymouth Vipers Soccer Club (a club he started and founded). His experience developing youth athletes extends well beyond his on-field coaching. During his junior year at Bridgewater State, he began a career in Sports Facility Management.  In 1995, he started as a part-time manager, camp clinician, and referee at the Bridgewater Dome/John Smith Sports Center.  In 1999, he began working full time at the Plymouth Sports Dome/JunglePlex in his hometown of Plymouth, MA.  He worked there for 24 years, holding several different titles which included Assistant Manager, Athletic Director, General Manager, Coaching Director, Camp Director, and Referee Coordinator. He’s also officiated in over 20 different indoor soccer facilities in the United States.

As a men’s and women’s college soccer coach, Tassinari has coached 72 All-Conference players, 5 All-Americans, 10 All-New England players, 7 conference Players of the Year, and 18 Conference MVPs.

The Plymouth native played soccer, basketball and tennis at Plymouth North High School and continued his soccer playing career at Bridgewater State. At BSU, he was a starting back, captain, and conference all-star. His college coaching career began when he became an assistant coach with the men’s program at his alma mater immediately after graduation in 1995.

Jason currently resides in North Plymouth, MA with his wife Andrea and daughter Olivia. He’s currently a staff coach with the Scorpions Soccer Club, a national indoor soccer referee and regional instructor with US Indoor, and an indoor referee at the Bridgewater Dome. He’s also a special education teacher at Wayland High School where he also coaches the varsity girls’ tennis team.
