Men’s Basketball
Overview
Quincy College Men’s Basketball concluded the 2024-2025 season with an impressive record of 22 wins and 4 losses, marking the program’s fourth season with 20 or more victories. This remarkable achievement further cements their legacy, and the team finished the season ranked 11th nationally.
The QC Basketball team were prominently featured in the NJCAA XXI All-Region selections. Sophomore guard Shamar Browder earned recognition as a two-time First Team All-Region selection, and he also reached a personal milestone by scoring his 1,000th career point this season. Sophomore Marcus White received Second Team All-Region honors, along with Eldon Terry, who was also named to the second team. Freshman Anthony Coke made his mark by being recognized on the Third Team All-Region.

Basketball Coaches
Jamall Griffin, Head Coach
Jamall Griffin was appointed to the head men’s basketball coach at Quincy College prior to the 2025 – 2026 season. With his appointment he became the second head coach in the program’s history. The appointment was made by former head coach newly assigned athletic director Doug Scott. In his first year as the head coach of the program; Jamall led the team to 17-9 record finishing in third place in the regular season. During the region 21 playoff tournament the newly led Quincy Men’s Basketball had 2 impressive victories prior to the regional championship game. In the regional championship game versus the soon to become D3 NJCAA Champion the Quincy College team led for 39 minutes; only loosing by 2 points in the final seconds. Prior to becoming the head coach, Jamall was an assistant for 2 consecutive seasons. During those season Jamall was the lead assistant and was assigned defensive responsibilities. During that time QC was ranked nationally and their defense became top 5 in the country.
Prior to Quincy College, Jamall was the head basketball coach at Cathedral High School for 3 seasons. During his tenure Jamall revitalized a storied program from consecutive loosing seasons to a consecutive sweet 16 and quarterfinals appearances in the MIAA (Massachusetts) State Tournament. The success on the court was paralleled to the success off the court. Boys Basketball Participation rates increased year on year and academically the programs gpa/ eligibility reached new heights.
Preceding his journey from high school to collegiate levels of coaching; Jamall held several roles in the historic amateur athletic union program Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC). During his time he revamped an academy that focused on player and team development. Under the tutelage of the programs founder/head coach Leo Papile; Jamall led teams to National Championship Tournaments and Premier Showcase events.
Sullivan Coady, Assistant Coach
Currently in third season as an Assistant Coach at Quincy College specializing in opponent scouting, recruiting, and analytics, contributing to three consecutive 20-win seasons & 3 consecutive nationally ranked teams.
Additionally, he has spent three seasons working with one of the best AAU programs in the country, BABC. focusing on operations and event coordination, ensuring seamless execution of planning & high-level basketball events
Also serve as Assistant Coach at Pembroke High School, where they specialize in scouting and player development, helping young athletes refine their skills and basketball IQ.
Mike Magee, Assistant Coach
Coach Magee has been coaching under Coach Scott for 5 years. Mike brings passion and knowledge to the program. He is also a professor at Quincy College.
