Mask Update
Dear Quincy College Community:
We are writing to provide an important update on Covid-19 health and safety protocols. Beginning tomorrow, March 2nd 2022, face coverings/masks are no longer required in classrooms or common areas throughout the Presidents’ Place facility or in the Saville Building on our Quincy campus or throughout our Cordage Park campus in Plymouth with the exception of select programming labs (i.e, Nursing, Allied Health). Also, Students in selective programs will continue to follow Clinical Agency protocols. This adjustment to our policy reflects recent updates to recommendations from the federal Centers for Disease Control, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the City of Quincy and Town of Plymouth. Students, faculty, and staff may still choose to wear a mask or a face covering while on our campus; we ask that you be respectful and supportive of each other as individuals may continue practicing preventive measures to protect themselves and their families.
Other than the exceptions noted above, masks are optional for all students, faculty, and staff.
In accordance with CDC guidance, any student, faculty, or staff member who has tested positive for COVID-19 will be required to wear a mask for 5 days upon their return to campus. Please continue to use our dedicated e-mail address – covid@quincycollege.edu – to report any matters relative to Covid-19 and to get answers to any questions you may have.
Thank you for your continued cooperation with our health and safety protocols. We will monitor local, state, and federal recommendations and keep you informed of any further necessary adjustments to our policies.
