HiSET/GED Free High School Equivalency Preparation Program
On-Campus non-credit HiSET prep program
Quincy College can help you on your journey to earning your high school equivalency credential by passing the HiSET ® exam. Through a grant from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Adult Community Learning Center, Quincy College offers two levels of HiSET Preparation courses at no charge, including books.
Graduates of the HiSET program can further their education through college courses. Quincy College’s HiSET curriculum prepares students to pass English Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Math, and Science tests.
Quincy Campus
OPEN ENROLLMENT
HiSET classes at the Quincy campus are open enrollment and will run during day hours for a total of 12 hours per week.
To apply, you must take a placement test. HiSET placement tests are given on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Quincy College, 1250 Hancock Street, Quincy, third floor, Room 315. Email Michael Hernon, mhernon@quincycollege.edu to schedule an appointment.

HiSET Prep at Plymouth
OPEN ENROLLMENT
Quincy College and the United Way of Greater Plymouth County support the needs of students looking to prepare for their HiSET/GED exam. We are offering a FREE 15-week program to assist students in exam preparation.
This program covers all subject areas included in the HiSET/GED exams.
Our instructor will cover all 5 subject areas and prepare students to take the HiSET/GED exam.

How to Apply
- Fill out the application here.
- Check your email to retrieve your Student ID number.
- Schedule a Placement Test, email Michael Hernon, mhernon@quincycollege.edu to make an appointment.
- Testing is available on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Quincy College, 1250 Hancock Street, Quincy, third floor, Room 315.
- Please have your Student ID number with you. See Michael Hernon upon arrival.
- After you take the Placement Test you will receive an email indicating your score and level for your class.
Note: If a class doesn’t have space, students will be put on the waitlist and receive information when a space is available.
