Quincy College Men’s Basketball Runs Win Streak to 8 Games

Quincy College Granite Men’s Basketball team has a had busy holiday season with three games played last week and over nine home games scheduled during the month of December. Join Quincy College Granite in celebrating Homecoming at the December 14th home game versus Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. Game Starts at 6:00pm.
Quincy College’s Men’s Basketball team has risen to the challenge, exceling on the court and on campus, extending their win streak to eight games in a row while the student athletes prepare for final exams.
On Monday December 4th, Quincy College Granite defeated Springfield Technical Community College by a score of 99 – 86 led by guard Dajour Dunkley’s 31 points and 11 assists. Quincy’s leading scorer Deven Palmer chipped in with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Overall, Palmer is the NJCAA Region 21 Division 3 individual offense leader in points per game averaging 31.6 points. Dunkley leads the league in 3 point percentage with a 55.2% average.
On Wednesday, December 6th, Quincy College Granite faced Roxbury Community College. A competitive game, behind the 30 point 13 rebound effort of Deven Palmer and 26 point 17 assists by Dunkley, Quincy College Granite prevailed with a final score of 99 – 86.
On Saturday, December 9th, the Quincy College Granite were not deterred by the first snow of the season and continued their winning streak to eight games. Led by Deven Palmer, who scored 34 points 9 rebounds and Dajour Dunkley who added 24 points 10 assists, the Granite shocked the previously unbeaten Bristol Community College by a score of 91 – 88. Ugochukaw Kamalu paced the defensive unit with 18 points 13 rebounds along with the efforts of Jonathan Daviega, Jakigh Marcelin, and Reggie Cesar, Quincy College held on for a three point victory.
All Quincy College Granite home games are played at Lahue Gymnasium on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College, 1 Wendall ave. Wollaston Ma. Admission is free and open to the public.
