Community Development Block Grant
Under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Quincy College has received funding to allow qualified students to pursue an academic path that leads directly to employment.
Approved students will enter into a pre-approved program of study at no cost to them. Upon successful completion of the program, Quincy College students will be placed into either part-time or full-time employment.
Programs of Study Options:
- Community Health Worker
- Training Certificate (0 Credits)
- Students will be introduced to community health concepts, resources, and skills related to the role and responsibilities of a Community Health Advocate locally and nationally.
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Certificate (6 Credits)
- Prepares students to become a competent, knowledgeable and professional entry-level EMT in all phases of the learning domains-cognitive (knowledge)- psychomotor (skills)-affective (behavior).
- Pharmacy Technician
- Training Certificate (0 Credits)
- Students will gain instruction in medical and pharmaceutical terminology that prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam and to obtain the title of Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Substance Addiction Assistant
- Certificate (9 Credits)
- Introduces students to theories of addiction, assessment, social policies, treatment planning, and community organizations.
