As the education landscape changes and more adult learners return to campus for skill building, workforce development, and educational opportunity, Quincy College continues to be a regional and national leader in higher education.
For a fourth year in a row, Quincy College is nationally and locally ranked among two-year public colleges in Washington Monthly Magazine’s 2019 College Guide and Rankings annual review of American colleges and universities. Quincy College is ranked a “Best College for Adult Learners.” Washington Monthly categorizes adult learners as students over the age of twenty-five. Quincy College is ranked fourth in Massachusetts and is nationally ranked at #34. Quincy College has improved upon its 2018 ranking, moving from #36 in the nation to #34 and maintains it’s position as #4 in Massachusetts.
Washington Monthly provides prospective students with a tool and resource with which to critically compare higher education institutions to support the college decision making process.
Quincy College received the highest rankings of four (out of four) for ease of transfer, eight (out of nine) for flexibility of programs, and four (out of six) for services offered to adult students. Of the Massachusetts ranked two-year public colleges, Quincy College serves the largest adult learner population with 49% of enrolled students over the age of 25.
The ranking and recognition highlights the diversity of ages present at Quincy College, from the traditional student to the adult learner. Regardless of age, the ranking reinforces that students find all the resources they need to have a successful college experience at Quincy College.
Quincy College provides all-inclusive student services such as free tutoring, financial aid, and academic advising. Dedicated staff address the needs of the adult learner and assist them in their return to the classroom.
