Testing Center

The Testing Center at Quincy College is located in Room 033S and provides students with the opportunity to complete testing to help prepare them for college. The Testing Center is open during the days and times listed below for specific services:

Accuplacer Testing: Required for all new students who are registering for classes at Quincy College. Please have your QC Student ID number upon testing. Students may make an appointment for their test, but it is not required.

Monday, January 29 – May 13

  • Monday, 9am – 12pm, Accuplacer
  • Tuesday, 9am – 11am, Accuplacer
  • Wednesday, 9am – 12pm, SAS Testing
  • Thursday, 9am – 12pm, Accuplacer

Note: There will be no Accuplacer testing from Monday, March 11 – Friday, March 15.

Plymouth Campus:

Students looking to take the Accuplacer in Plymouth should reach out directly to Cathie Maloney to schedule a day and time for them to complete the test in Plymouth.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Testing

Provides students with the opportunity to test in a reduced-distraction environment as part of the College’s Accessibility Services. All testing appointments must be scheduled at least one week in advance. For more information, please contact sas@quincycollege.edu.

TEAS Exam

Test of Essential Academic Skills Exam (TEAS)

The TEAS Exam, or Test of Essential Academic Skills Exam, is a critical exam for students pursuing higher education, especially in healthcare. To register for the exam, students can visit the ATI Testing: www.atitesting.com

About the Exam

Students must register for a specific day and time through the ATI Testing website.

Quincy College is not affiliated with ATI Testing or the TEAS exam in any way. Students should contact ATI Testing directly if they have any comments, concerns, or issues with registering for the exam. Quincy College applicants must take the exam on campus. We do not accept remote exams.

It is a proctored exam starting at 9:00am. Students will not be permitted to take the exam after the 9:00am start time. Students must bring a photo ID with them. Pencils and paper will be provided.

For Quincy College Students: The TEAS is the required exam for the Practical Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant and Radiologic Technology programs.

Please note for the Fall 2024 Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) program the required exam will be the HESI A2 exam. For more information, contact Kara Zimmerman | 617-405-5990 | kzimmerman@quincycollege.edu.

TEAS Prep

The TEAS Prep Course is a comprehensive, individualized, self-paced, online prep course. Students will take a diagnostic test through SmartPrep | ATI Testing to determine a customized study plan. After each lesson, students will be able to check their comprehension with a short quiz. 60-day access and includes textbook. Register online via the QC Portal or in person at the Registrar’s office.

 

International Students

All International students are required to take the Levels of English Proficiency Exam (LOEP).

Testers will only be allowed to complete the CPT and LOEPS test once for consistent scores and identification of core curriculum. New and Prospective students will not be allowed to complete the Placement Tests on multiple occasions.

LOEPS Testers must complete all required sections of the test at once during the testing session.

Appropriate Proof of Identification to complete the tests include physical ID or Passport. Copies of identification are not allowed.

New Students

All newly accepted students with no prior college credits completed in math and English are required to take the College Placement Test (CPT).  Students whose first language is not English will be required to take the Levels of English Proficiency Exam (LOEP) in place of the college placement test.

Qualified Health Sciences Admissions Test

(Formerly the Allied Health Exam)

Students who want to apply for the Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Surgical Technology programs are required to take the Qualified Health Sciences Admissions Test as a part of the Admissions process. The Qualified Health Sciences Admissions Test can be taken during normal placement testing hours. Students must pay the Qualified Health Sciences Admissions Test exam fee of $25.00 in the Registrar’s Office and show their receipt to the Testing Specialist in order to take the exam.
