Creative Strength! Machine-Based Strength Training Workshop

Sign-up sheets will be posted in the fitness center for all those interested in participating in this workshop.

This workshop is for people who are looking for a quick, time-efficient, overall body workout using just five basic strength training machines. The resistance exercises will include both the upper body (chest and back) and lower body (hip, thighs, buttocks) as well as mid-section and core muscles (abdominals and low back). You will learn proper training techniques, and the primary and secondary muscle groups involved along with their joint actions.

American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer, and graduate of Quincy College’s Exercise Science Certificate Program, Bob Godfrey will lead the demonstration and practical. Handouts will be provided based on Dr Westcott’s Building Strength and Stamina book.
