The Quincy College men’s basketball team played its inaugural, 2017-2018 season home game on Nov. 18.

Mark Bertman of Quincy , longtime proprietor of Rogers Jewelry in Quincy Center and community activist, was recently presented the 2017 Quintessential Award by the Quincy College Trust, at an event held in the Tirrell Room, Quincy Lodge of Elks.

Quincy College, 36 Cordage Park Circle, will host a film screening of “We The People: The Market Basket Effect” at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8.

Mark Bertman, a Quincy businessman and longtime advocate for Quincy College, received Quincy College Trust’s Quintessential Award on Thursday evening.
